The "Virtual Institute New X-ray analytical Methods in Material science (VI-NXMM)" was a cooperation of eight real research institutes. The virtual institute included two Helmholtz-institutions, two German universities and a Swiss research institution. In total 39 scientists cooperated in the virtual institute. 2011-2016 we investigated methods and instruments for X-ray materials analysis.
